Bizhub C250---Error code c-5102 and panel shows copier warming up
Re: Bizhub C250---Error code c-5102 and panel shows copier warming up
easiest way to troubleshoot this issue is to take the back panel off. the main motor and pc motor are the same. both are located at the bottom left. both should spin up when you turn on the copier and it goes through initialization. your pc motor (one on the right) will spin up first. swap the motors and see if the main motor (one on the left) spins up during initialization. if it does not replace your mfp board. this is a common issue where the lead on the board to the main motor blows out. make sure IF YOU REPLACE THE MFP BOARD SWAPP THE EEPROM ON THE BOARD OR YOU WILL GET A CODE.

Can you go into a little more detail on this. We are having the same error code and we have the manual but it seems really confusing. I have attached a picture of the back of our machine. Can you tell me where abouts the main copier.jpgmotor is??

The whole cage that holds the main board and hard drive has to come off, it looks harder than it is. You can normally remove the screws and most of the connectors then drop the cage to one side with it hanging by a few cables. It will all become clear to you then....I hope

When you say "cage" what are you referring to???
The cage is what the main board and hard drive are held in, to get to the drive section where the motors are you have to remove this first. You will have to take the upper rear cover off the left side cover (as you look at the machine from the back) off, then you need to remove a couple of fans that sit on top of the cage, you will see them when take off the upper cover, remove about a dozen screws round the cage, remove the flat cable from the main board and thread it through the gap on the right so it's not damaged remove a couple of connectors then unhook the cage from the main body of the copier.
i suggest you buy a parts and service manual from Paul who posted earlier on this thread.
Re: Bizhub C250---Error code c-5102 and panel shows copier warming up
ok thanks for the info.... I have a parts manual but it was confusing so I thought it would be easier if someone explained it to me.
One last question- I see part numbers listed above.. Do you think we need both those parts if we are getting the error code 5102- main motor's failure to turn.
Or just the main motor?
And do you have a reliable place to buy it? Has anyone ordered from this place before?
