    C6500 error C2712

I have a Konica minolta and error code c2712 is popping up. The transfer belt shifted slightly, we moved it back gently into position and then we got the error. Does anyone have any suggestions why !. the belt shifted in the first place and B. what the error code is specific. The manual is a bit vague referring to primary transfer/M.

    Help anyone..

    Thanks

belt possibly shifted due to the pressure roller being knocked out of position or being worn. if you shifted the belt slightly you may have moved one of the 1st transfer rolls causing your issue. take the transfer belt off the carriage and inspect the rolls. be careful not to damage the belt. they are expensive.

      if that doesnt fix it:

      C-2712 is a 1st transfer (M) abnormality. To troubleshoot:
      1. Check the connection of the process carriage drawer connectors.
      2. Check the connection of OUT2 and CN87 (High voltage unit/2), CN171A (Printer control board) and wiring for the connectors. If any problem is found, correct it.
      3. If the cause cannot be specified by the above steps, replace the parts in the following order.
      • High voltage unit/2 (p/n A1RFM404)
      • Printer control board (p/n A1RFH050)
      • Wiring (p/n A1RFN175 and p/n A1RFN186)
