Konica Bizhub c351 scanning defaults

I've been looking through the options in the web interface and on the machine itself, but I can't seem to find a way to change the default scanning behavior from multipage PDF to multipage compressed PDF. I see how to do it using programs, but our people are very set in their ways, and will continue to walk up to the copier, press the button corresponding to our scan drive and sticking in the document without using preset programs.

Any ideas, or am I just outta luck on this one?

set all the scanning options on the panel
hit utility
user settings
scan/fax
look for set defaults
select use current.

exit reset and see if they held. sometimes it needs to be done twice
