The customer says the machine will cut itslef off and then right back on from time to time. If its in the middle of a job it just shuts off and causes a jam. If not during a copy/print job it will just cycle off and on.

check for stupid things first, like an arcing power cable not properly inserted into the jack at the rear of the machine or the electrical wall outlet, have seen this before.
after that, id be suspicious of pwb-m and power supply, if it were the mfp board i'd personally roll the machine out a window rather than spend the money fixing it - this has to be the worst colour machine km has ever made

We had one where a paper clip somehow worked its way down to the power supply and caused this issue. A close inspection is in order.Comment
