    C7000 wierd lines...

    Hey.

I got this strange lines in feed directions in black low density.
It's a new drum and new charger and new black dev. unit.
    Recently changed everything in transfer.

    Nothing helps...

if you look closer to the left upper edge of your scan, one can see a defined artefact, so i don't believe, that this is a mechanical issue, looks more like an electronic/laser problem. I would go for the bk laser first.

Think I've had this before with a C6500, was a quite a few years ago but think it was indeed the laser unit ..... it hurts my brain thinking that far back, infact I'm surprised and impressed I CAN remember !

        Lines are indeed strange.

Does it happen in more than one color?

If it is the laser you can diagnose by moving the black dev unit to say cyan and putting the cyan unit in black. Cover the toner addition holes with tape. Just run one test pattern 53 in each color. If its the laser the problem will stay with the spot, if its a dev unit it will move.

Like to hear an answer to this one.
