Re: C6500/C6501 and the C7000 Drum
Hi
Did you replace the Cyan drum with the DU104? that's a Cyan drum drive error.
Firmware is available on infohub for all qualified engineers, and instructions on how to install it are in the service manual.
Firmware should only be done if you are qualified on this model.
We have been fitting exclusively DU-104 drums to all our remaining 5500/5501/6500/6501 machines for the last few years with very few issues, only a couple of machines needed the new firmware to cure drum drive errors ( the cleaning blade on the DU-104 is more efficient and causes a little more drag)
Try swapping the DU104 from the Cyan to the Black, see if it runs without the error after a restart.
Hope that helps.Comment

Re: C6500/C6501 and the C7000 Drum
Getting the black spot on drum unit issue that has been discussed on here for a few years now.
Has anyone in the UK/Europe had any success with the suggested use of the DU-104 drum in the C6500/C6501?
There appears to be nothing in the TAD/TNI here in the UK but there has been mention on another thread that KM have released something in other market(s)?
Here in Brazil, we are using DU-104 in our equipment in 02 years. Greater shelf life and higher quality in some cases.
