Reseat ribbon cable going from scanner to logic board. Remove NIC for testing if machine has one.

This is why so many dealers switched to Muratecs....the 1610f or 161f are garbage. More than likely the NIC is pulling too much juice and is causing this issue. Remove the NIC (as mentioned above) and see if machine will boot up. If you're really lucky and they don't print at all, just put the board in your pocket
They came out with updated boards for this machine. See if yours is updated or not...i believe theres either a yellow or greeen dot on the board itself.
