Hello, I am an end-user. ;-) I own my copier. It needs a cyan imaging unit ($300-$500!) and also a black imaging unit ($105+) . The cyan unit is $300+ but I see The CopierSupplyStore.com has a cyan rebuild kit for $120.
Both my husband and I are very mechanically inclined, but we are not familiar with the inner workings of a copier. How difficult is this to accomplish?
Also I do have a set of reset chips. I've installed one on the yellow unit already. How do I know when it is appropriate to use a resetter chip vs replacing the imaging unit? Test prints of the cyan left the lower 30% of the page without color.
The black unit just all-of-a-sudden began printing lighter-like grey instead of black.
