black copies

Bizhub c452, only has 11,000 prints on it. Copier jammed and the jam was removed. Now the unit is throwing black copies but you can read the text in the background. The user was printing in black and white. Checked the black drum and the charge unit. I can see the charge wire, unit is throwing a C-4501 error code. Tried trouble reset numerous times, no success, checked transfer belt, ok. Any suggestions? Service manual says laser malfunction. Anybody experience this before. Enlighten me. Thanks!

Either the PH failed and the jam was after the fact, or the MFP jammed and some idiot gave it a kick and induced another problem.. I would remove the PH and peek inside to see if something obvious is kicking around..If no joy, then try a firmware reload..next would be to bring a PH and a relay board to be on the safe side. Emujo
