    Bizhub 250/350 drum scracthed

    Hi All,

does anyone always face the problem drum scratched at the edge of drum which cause of toner leaking?

I just replace drum and developer unit not long ago but after sometimes, return to check the machine, saw the drum scratched at edge, even though i doesn't effect the print out but it cause toner leak and the scratched part will getting bigger after a period.

i believe it caused by the hinge at registration roller; does anyone often face this problem? and how to prevent it?

I think you should have to replace the drum, developing unit and developer too. Your machine might be overloaded.

You need to change the transfer roller on the door as well as the drum & dev.

In my experience it really isn't the worn spacer rollers that cause the wear on the rear of the drum. It is the transfer roller. There is a white guide roller that wears and causes extra pressure to be applied to the drum surface.
The worn spacer rollers do cause issues though and they should be replaced as well.
            Darren.

Collars in Dev unit and white guides on transfer roller will do this. Make sure to replace both. You can tell when the transfer roller is the problem the white guides are grooved into....

The ATDC sensor build in the image units of the previous series will NOT work with the Bizhub 200, 250, 350.

                    From KonicaMinolta Solutions:

"Solution ID TAUS0801978EN* Solution Usage 5
                    Description
C-2557 (C2557) after replacing a defective ATDC sensor.
                    Solution
CAUSE: The wrong ATDC sensor was used. The Di3510 series of machines ATDC sensor looks identical to the bizhub 350 series but they are different and
operate in a different voltage range.
SOLUTION: Please use the correct ATDC sensor (p/n 4040 6040 01)."
