Hi, can we enable box function without adding physical HDD-503?

No, without the HDD you have no place to save (store) the scanned docs. You also loose the ability to "secure print" w/o the HDD. Emujo

Thanks for your advice emujo, I just wonder y with fax board ,
I can click on [box] button with some fax functions there
