Since this is a Konica Minolta forum, people would probably advise the Bizhub Pro 920 or similar...

            It's too late now.

What's your volume and production requirements. There's a big difference between 50ppm and 90/92 ppm.

Although the IR5000 is a legendary machine it was never really intended for a high volume print for pay environment.

All the models referenced in this forum so far are nice...I would probably take the 920 over the 2090 though.

Where are you finding an IR5000 for $500?

I'd pick up the IR5000 even if you aren't going to use it as long as it works. The lowest I can find them used is $900-$1000. You could sell it on Ebay and double your money.

I still don't know your volume though. The IR5000 has TONS of spare parts and supplies available out there due to their popularity.

You should consider though who or how service is going to be done on the machine. Even the best machine in the world is useless when it's broke.
