That error code is likely something more serious to do with the main boards if I remember rightly,
check no cables have come loose.

From the book:

13F0: Engine control failure

Relevant electrical parts
Print control board (PRCB) MFP board/1 (MFPB/1)
1-Check the cable and connector for proper connection and correct as necessary.
2 Change PRCB.
3 Change MFPB/1.

Normaly is a "flat cable" that connect the boards "PRCB andMFP"... is a small one

...but check all the connections and all the flat cables on the boards

Has this been resolved please?
Toda i had a brand new machine out of the box with this error. The machine initializes the scanner and fuser, stays in warming up phase for a while and instead of going to Ready it throws the error. The fuser is hot.
The service manual says it's an engine error and recommends rebooting the main unit. Tried to write firmware but the moment I turn the machine to bootrom mode the error led is on.
