    scan to email using gmail

    i have a custmer with a very small place he only works maybe 14hr a week he has a konica c253 he needs set up for scanning to email i tried to walk him threw it over the phone he has no clue does anyone have step by step already writting up for setting up email using g-mail?

    1st off, you need to go onsite and do this if the customer is not competent..be the hero!!!

    2nd..Have him establish a gmail account

    3rd Server name=SMTP.GMAIL.COM
    Check SSL over SMPT and use port 465
    user name/password will be the account he created (exp joe@gmail.com / password

    I know this works as we have many customers using gmail..Emujo

        I use the same settings except the port which I use 587.

        Otherwise I do everything exactly the same as what emujo said. The most important bit is to remember to enable StartTLS or SSL.
        Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
