    C550 Jamming when stapling

As anybody seen this issue? It gives a 72-18 jam code when stapling. The machine has only 4K on it. The paper doesnt make it to the stacker entrance sensor in time. This machine is eating my lunch. HELP!!

I just looked up the code on Konica's website and this is what I found:

    FS-519, J72-18 error when copying and/or duplexing.

    [Solution]

    CAUSE: Separation Cover not removed.

SOLUTION: Review page E-5 of the attached installation instructions for the punch kit and verify the correct cover has been removed. This will assure properly installation of the punch kit.

Hopefully this will help you. If not, let me know.

remove mylars as the paper travels down plate, four in total.

607 has mylars (550,650 stapler finisher)

      606 does not (500)

      215 does not (8050)

Are the mylars on the FS-517 also?

I am not sure, but I would think so. They are basically the same finisher, but one has a booklet folder. If you pull the finisher carriage out, look down from the top and you should see the mylars.

OK the problem was resolved. It turn out to be a Driver issue. After spending some time on it. The jamming only appeared when printing. It would always jam on the last sheet feed to the stacker. If you removed the jam that same last sheet would continue to jam. The customer was using a PS Driver version 2.1.0.0.

              I updated it to 6.1.2.BT
