Bizhub C203, scan to email error

Setting up email address on c203, entered every data and when tried a test scan it displayed an error message can not connect to server and connection timed out. But when pinging from the mfp the smtp address replies. Did the setup several times and stilldisplays the error messages after doing a test. Have I missed out a setting??

Have you allowed the ip of the copier through the relay?
The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

IN the machine settings, do you have an administrator email address?

Have the server Administrator add an exception for the printer to the Exchange exceptions list. 1. Open the Control panel and select Windows Firewall. 2. Select Exceptions and Add Port. 3. Add a name and Port number. 4. Click on Change Scope. 5. Select Custom List and add the TCP/IP address for the exception
