I had a machine that would not add black toner. If I removed the cover to the toner cartridge and removed the exit cover (under the scanner, no finisher) I could watch the coupling rotate normally. The cartridge turned very hard by hand compared to the color cartridges. I replaced with another cartridge from our warehouse and the same thing happened. No matter how much I shook the cartridges they wouldn't loosen up. I'm still waiting for some new ones but has anyone else had any issues with the cartridges binding up?
