yep, had it before.

if all you get is the sound of the machine warming up but a dead control panel with feint squares on the screen, mfp board has failed.

Once the board has racked up enough ON time even moving the machine around is enough to break it as it becomes extremely fragile. Have had this happen a few times.

We had several machines of these series where the dot matrix display itself went out. Replaced them with displays from old MF2800 faxes we had standing around. Those displays are identical.

The Bizhub 161 uses the same display. The part # is 4034-6072-01.
