I do not recommend twain scanning unless the customer has a specific app that requires it. Use smb, ftp or email. These are more reliable and require only one trip to machine not 2 or 3.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

KM has 2 types of TWAIN..Real time, and HDD TWAIN. Real time is "drop a doc in the feeder, go back to your PC and inport using Word, or Acrobat etc.. HDD Twain pulls from the user boxes on the HDD. Only HDD TWAIN is suported on the 250 and as Mr Spock stated, it doesn't work well with most apps (medical imaging for example)..Some apps need a NON GUI driver, (ecopy scan station) and many models aren't supported for this either..Emujo

        Probably, but why?
I will jump on the bandwagon.
I have no idea what the circumstances are, but a FTP or Samba (even email) configuration to a centralized server is probably the best option.
But if the server is nonexistent then simply set the above protocols for client computers, or contract a computer specialist to do it.

You have to have had a customer that says "My new doc records managment system works only with TWAIN, and it has to input the file in a TIFF format"..This usually comes up in conversation when they try to hook up the old 250 and reliaze it doesn't work, but didn't bother asking anyone from the dealer 1st..Time for an upgrade...EMujo
