Display shows 88

I have a minolta DI 152 that show 88 on the display, there is nothing about 88 on the service manual, the display works fine, if you open covers the indicators will show on the display.
If you turn it off or on it it powers everything comes on, but the DI 152 is locked up with 88 on the display.
I had a suggestion of a possible Master board problem. Has anybody seen this problem........... Thanks for your help.

Never seen this before. Any keys stuck on the operation panel?

Maybe you need a password and the control panel is locked?

No keys stuck, if you open panels the indicators on the control panel work, if you try to enter technicians, utility or administrators mode it does not respond it is locked with the
88 on the display, if you open covers the di 152 will cycle normally but wont get past the 88 on the dispaly
