Mac 10.8 printing to KonicaMinolta C284

I Have a customer that has a Macintosh w/10.8 and has install the package file for printing to a Konica Minolta C284, but when he goes to add an IP printer and drops down the "select printer software", the drop down show as empty window (nothing to select, no HP, no epson, no Konica Minolta, no printers at all). Anybody know what has happenning here? Any response will be greatly appreciated.

in OSX i always use the cups web interface to add and configure printers after the driver package has been installed. The web interface is disabled by default but when you try to access it, it will tell you the command to turn it on anyway.

I always set them up as IP/port 9100 printers just like in windows without any issue.

I think there is an option to "Select Different Printer..." or something similar to that. Try using that and if you still can't find the printers list, then I would say that your customers Mac has a CUPS issue and may need to be rebuilt before you can go any further.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
