[Error Code] Error C6708

Hi

This is my first post so hope this is ok.

We have recently taken on service of a Konica 6500 and this machine has coded up with C6708, So far i have updated the firmware, I have changed the Exposure lamp, the Exposure starter board, the CCD and also the harness from the CCD to the PCB. There is a bulletin to check ICP's on various boards, so I have done this and they are all ok.

What happens is, on power up the Lamp lights up moves left then right then the machine codes up straight away.

Any help with this would be very much appreciated

Hi,
It seems you have checked the most common solutions to this code. The likely culprits are the Image Processing Board (most likely) or the Interface Board.

Carefully inspect the ribbon cable connection from the CCD to the Image Processing Board. In most cases it is a loose connection or damaged connectors.

Look straight down at the mirrors and see if you can see the CCD. You could have a mirror out of place.
