    Konica 6500 calibration

I don't seem to be able to print the calibration sheet to measure with the XRite. I am running the Creo rip.
On entering "print sheet" on the creo's calibration setting it will not print. Is it possible to just obtain the file and put it through as a normal job, then measure?
    Grateful for any pointers

you can dial up the 90's and find a Kodak grey scale, and calibrate the old way.. dont know if that works on creo's - I am fiery guy...

      Re: Konica 6500 calibration

It has been a while since I calibrated a Creo, but I seem to remember the calibration page only prints from the bypass, or needed to be released from the held jobs queue, or needed a certain type of paper. I'll ask around to see if someones memory is better than mine.

        Hi,
There is no "file" available to use to print the calibration sheet.
What happens on the creo when trying to print the file? Is the job in the print queue on hold or just disappears?

          Hi

I have had this issue with Creo and it would only print from Tray 5 if the PF is fitted, or the Bypass if the PF is not fitted.

          hope this helps.

I am the same issue with a Bizhub pro c500 and IC-301 creo it just stop printing the page several weeks ago. When the print calibration sheet command is given the machines send out a sheet but is it blank. Would love some help with this. Does this need a reintall of the creo?

I would suggest a reinstall of the Creo app. This will probably resolve the problem

I would love to do that. But I do not have the original files/CDs for the Creo. Bought copier used and got no discs with it.

Could any one say how to get access to those files. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sorry i dont have them. This is an old model now and the Creo was not a popular Rip with the C500. I think you will have some difficulty obtaining the software.
You might have better luck trying to purchase a Fiery IP 901 controller. You might be able to pick one of them up cheap second hand (i dont have one of those either)

I'm pretty sure it won't print out because it's waiting for a certain type of paper to be installed in one of the trays. (I had this prob with a C6500)

Go thru the setup of the Creo and see if there is a certain paper type it's expecting.
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

                      Hi Dixie,

                      Sorry for hijacking your thread.

I really appreciate the tips I will try different paper types and trays and see how it goes. Thanks Guys for the insights.

                        Hi Mick,

if you go into calibration mode and select print sheet the job gets as far as the print screen but will not actually print. I dont seem to be able to get into the job to change any of the settings, to change drawer choice etc. Charts elements is the job that comes up.

                        thanks Dixie

It has been a while and still no solution.

Any creo specialists around who can help? or any Konica Minolta Tech with access to the IC-301 installation files? My machine (bizhub pro C500) is still printing blank sheets when we send calibration print command from the creo. Our black gradations are very blotchy like vector Art instead of smooth gradation.

                            Any help appreciated.
