Need printer to automatially detect paper orientation of document

Hi,
Sounds a simple question but just couldn't figure it out.
We have a Konica C452 but if I open a document in Landscape orientation and look to print it, I have to change the print setting to landscape.
By default it always stays on portrait. I'd like the printer to detect the orientation of the document without having to change it manually.

is that possible?

could you be more specific, if there is something that i'm doing wrong please let me know.
I asked here because there maybe a problem with the driver or maybe something i'm doing. just need help really.
