Caching PS and PDF object in the VDP setting of CW5 for a KM bizhub C8000

Is it possible to make the caching of PS and PDF object a default in Command Workstation 5 running a C8000?
Caching objects speeds a lot of our jobs up (we like to print face up normal order, which means the whole job has to process before it runs off).
I'm not sure if this is a driver issue or what.

Also, as a side note, we have a c5501 running through the same Command Workstation...is the 'Use PDF Xobjects' the same as caching (as in it it would speed up the processing of jobs with the same graphic repeated), or is this an older version?

Hi,
Is there any specific reason you are using "face up normal order" as opposed to "face down normal order"?
This wont help with the processing but the machine will start to print rather than waiting to process the entrire job.
Using PDF-X objects ticked should help in the processing speed but the file has to be PDF-X compatible.

There is an upgrade you can get for the Fiery (version two and not free) which can use the APPE (Adobe Pdf Print Engine). This can speed up processing of PDF's greatly as it does not have to convert to PS.
