C6500 Jams Duplex

Riddle me this Batman.


C6500 runs all day face up or face down.
Jams duplex. Easy right? not so fast.
Remove finisher (FS-607) runs all day, duplex, face up, and face down.


Finisher main board
One ways exit copier
One ways fuser
ADU board
All clutches on sled of copier.
Print Control Board


Different size paper the same symptoms.


We are in the process of getting another finisher to see if the symptom is in the copier or in the finisher.

right..
what i think.. this has nothing or very little to do with engine and/ or duplex.

i would start wih the gate and solenoid after fuser.. and then entrance sensor/gate/solenoid in the finisher. eventually the motor that drives the entrance rollers. you could cheat finisher door and see if the rollers are turning when initialising.

this just my view.

I had a similar duplex jamming problem with FS-503, would only jam on 2 side. Had to install the conveyance cooling unit (RU-503/4). After that, no jams. Not sure if you have the cooling unit installed. I thought the FS-503 could be installed without it but wouldn't run 2 sided.
