P51 is a front door open. Could be your front door switch.

This is a very old model and my memory is not what it used to be.
I think that you get this error if the PM count is reset without doing a developer initialise. Basically it is asking you to replace the developer and run the set up

Hi Again,
I just remembered that if the machine is used whilst it is low on toner it will cause P51.
Again this is an extremely old model and my memory is a bit vague.

even for me ,now it is an old model,but as far as i remember if p51 is not the front door open,than it might be the switch doors ANd even it can be the power supply,but i am not sure about it because time have passed now
