    420 dont print now :(

    hi, we have a konica 420, yesterday print normaly but today the documents dont go out of printer queue. from any computer of the network

    i reconfigure the ip, putting off the network. I have ping correctly but dont print. i can conect to web server correctly

    the config of 402 is: ip 192.168.2.63 mask 255.255.255.0 gw 192.168.2.1
    of one of pc : 192.168.2.25 mask 255.255.255.0 gw 192.168.2.1

    i think is hardware problem, in other departament we have more konica 420, if was necesary I can change hardware parts for test

      Unplug the ethernet cable and ping again..if you get a reply then you have a dupliate address..If no response, go into admin mode and turn off the Network settings, cycle power, go back in and turn network settings back on...under TCP/IP settings configure for DHCP and see if ip address is aquired..If success, set it back to the original static IP..If no joy, call a tech..Emujo

          Have you changed the port settings to match the new IP address in the print driver?

          Is the SNMP Status Enabled ticked in the port settings? If so, untick this option and restart the print jobs.
          Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

                  If a printer is working fine and then stops with jobs backed up in que. Always connect the hardware to a laptop via crossover or mini hub excluding the customers network and driver environment and test. Or at least delete all jobs in que and reset equipment. If it works fine then the problem is not your hardware! Too many techs jump straight into messing with machine and ip settings only to find the first job in the que had been corrupted and only needed to be deleted.

                  Always assume it's not your machine until you have proof it is. The Customer will always insist it is your machines problem.
