KM C6500 keep show C-2454

Hi,

I have just changed brand new Developer unit (a set/4 colors) for my KM 6500, I run " Service -> 02. Process Adjustment-> 02.Drum Peculiarity Adj-> 06.Toner Destiny Sensor Init with ALL " but the machine show C-2454 . I checked in I/O Checked Mode <54-09> IN : 226 (undertoned).


Any ideas for me to fix this issue ? Thank you.

A common error when replacing the developer on these models is leaving the dev roller packing on. It is a rubber strip that looks like it belongs on the dev. It will cause all kinds of problems. Like blank, light, uneven etc. I even had one travel thru the copier and cause the finisher to jam. Hope this helps.

Take dev unit out, take TCR off, clean it, clean that bit of sponge around the TCR, put it back, close m/c, start m/c in service mode, process adj, toner density initialisation. if it works, continue with m/c setup. if not, power off m/c, start again in service mode, go process adj, sensor output, toner density sensor output and run the routine. After a while it will go under 220. Do the rest of the adjustments.
