    [Misc] uninstalling a Hecon counter

Does anyone know how to uninstall a Hecon counter? I have a Konica Minolta Bixhub 501 and I have removed the box on the side of the copies but it is still asking for a counter to be inserted before it will work.....Help please

Service Mode, sub mode "function managment"..you must disable the hecon here...If you don't know how to get into service mode, call a qualified tech as you can do some unintentional damage here..Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

you also need to install the correct jumper on the end of the connector cable as well. if your lucky the tech that installed the counter would have secured the jumper in the area of the cable.
if not you can refer to your wire diagram and locate the correct jump setting.

If you don't and try it by chance, you'll burn some fuses and/or board.

Most machines don't use that jumper anymore. If you do have the jumper; you wont need to get into the service modes. If you do need to go into the service modes; Just remember once in the service modes press "stop 9" to get to the management function choice option.
