    Minolta DI183 RAM Error

I am not a technician and am curious if there is an easy fix for the following error:

"Data has been lost due to backup RAM error, the machine setting may be not correct, please don't use and call service people!"

This error keeps on printing out (approx. 25 sheets of paper).

Is there a way to reset the RAM? Replace? Upgrade?

Thanks in advance for the help!!

The ram on the 183 should be behind the rear panel in the upper right on a control board. It will be a short stick of ram. Now I have not heard of this particular error, but replacing that ram may very well solve the problem. It has been my experience though that ram errors can be either the ram or the board that the ram is on. hope this helps.

Hahaha I actually agree with Mark, I'm not a big fan of any of the 18 speed machines, 183, 180, 1811, 7218, push them all in a pile and bury them.
