    C351 Gear grinding noise

    No failure codes, but jams.
    Everything seems to turn ok.
Check IUs, fuser paper feed and waste augers including ITB.
    Something I am missing?

    Thanks for any thoughts

    Yes I have the manual.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

    Jams, with a grinding noise?
Make sure the machine shows the correct size and orientation. Sounds like a size mismatch jam.

      Noise starts during warmup.

Where is it jamming? Have you checked the "tear-drop" gear assembly above the fuser? There is a small set of white gears with a "tear-drop" shaped plate just above the fuser assembly. Usually, there is a spring attached to the gear assembly pulling it downwards, but the mounting post likes to snap. Check to see if that spring is still attached, or if the spring mounting post is cracked/bent.

Turned out to be IU waste toner auger.

Customer put DI200 toner in Color machine.

          Cost her $300.00 in repairs.
