    bizhub 920 firmare install

    just trying to install new firmware with the ISW internet according to the instructions in the service manual
    but my web browser only shows page scope and not the web utilities which wont let me in the machine

    use the machine nic not controller nic
    And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

      well after looking at operator manuals I was able to turn off the page scope thing and now I get a 501 not implemented error

        problem solved
        ...I just had to plug the network cable into the other jack on the machine and presto web utilities

        now going to attempt loading the firmware

            yes it was...and thanks mr spock...I just didn't quite understand exactly what nic was till a former rep came by the shop the other day and said just plug it into that one, it's where the firmware goes...facepalm

            I'm still having fun getting the network connections sorted out
            so far I've got it work well enough to give me a 100 error code

            using http
            no proxy
            //front/920firmare is the shared directory on my c drive
            front is the server computer name and there are no passwords
            the server machine is windows xp

            I'm going to try a shorter file name next and see what happens
