Hello Ladies and Gentlewomen,
I've been getting some abnormal mechanical noise from a horizontal transport section for an FS-526.
I did a quick search and found a bulletin pertaining to this particular issue, but the fix it is suggesting has been already implemented, according to what I can physically see. The bulletin (see attached) suggest to order the new idlers with the ribs. It seems the machines current idlers already have these, so I was thinking that perhaps the bushings or shaft/s have excessive wear causing the bushings themselves to vibrate around the shaft as paper is transported.
Has anyone else had this issue, and found a fix? I don't particularly want to order 8 bushings, 4 idlers (to be sure) and 2 idlers shafts (to be doubly sure) that the problem is fixed, although that may have to be the case. They're probably not that expensive anyway.
