If it's not an air flow problem(transfer belt cooling fan is a common cause of this) which makes machine internal temperature go up-----another possibility---Check for a blockage/obstruction in the waste toner pipe in the back of the copier. Sounds like toner is not leaving the transfer belt cleaning unit. It's staying inside the unit and forming those pebbles. Which in turn gets all over the ITB belt and gives you dirty copies. Saw this a long time ago on the old C500's.
