    Konica Minolta Abort Code 0X01100551

Any suggestions on how to avoid this code. We tried the scanner locking button at the upper left side of the machine......as well as several visits from our local Minolta repair person. This is sooooo annoying. Just wanna get our documents scanned. Thanks

OK, It looks like an MFBS board problem. If you have a tech looking at it, he or she may be trying to try everything else before changing that very costly board. A tech can only do what the shop says. If you are the end user and not a tech, there is nothing you can do to fix it yourself. Are you paying for calls, or do you have a maint. plan? The guide I looked it up in did not show that exact code so I am not positive. I just had a rash of abort codes that were related to the scanner, but the fix was changing the power supply.

In my opinion it's a scanner code.
Recheck the lock button on the left of the copier. Also, take a look at the scanner assy, is it looking ok? Is it moving at all when you're starting the machine? Did you reset the error code?

I agree it could be scanner related, but in the first post he said that the scanner was being looked at and a tech had been there several times. This would point to a problem with a conection, a short or a faulty power source. I just had a scanner related abort code on a bizhub 500 that was cured by pulling and reseating all of the connections on the PWB "A". Please let us know what the fix is, I have over 200 of these machines in my area.

I'd try and clear image memory in the system boot up mode (cold reset switch), could also be corrupt firmware.

I had a 350 reboot over and over, clearing the image memory fixed it, and then I upgraded firmware afterwards to top it off.

                I have this code in a 250.

The problem was the Power Supply, chek the fuses on it

if the fuse is burned the firmware does not solve anything
