    C224 trickle feed or noy?

    Hello
    Can anyone tell me if the C224 range is trickle feed toner technology on black only or on all colours

    I can see your question has had quite a few views, yet no replies. I think the problem is with the terminology you're using. Must admit I don't understand exactly what you mean by trickle feed system.

      This MFP is similar to past offerings (color series) Toner/developer in bottle is relayed to hopper, hopper relays to developer unit. Sensor in hopper controls toner level from bottle to hopper, TCR sensor in Developer controls addition on material to IU/Dev. So it should be an "on demand" system if I read your question correctly.         if you mean the toner has developer & toner
        Then Yes___ all colors have toner & developer in each toner bottle
        that's why the dev units last so long (600K each )

        C280/C652 only the Black has toner & developer (colors are toner only)

            Still dual component. The dev gets replenished along with the toner. Increases the life of the dev unit.
