[Misc] Bizhub C353 Default scan settings?

would love to know how on earth to change the default settings on this beast to get it to scan an 8-1/2 x 11 page to the same size page. It is scanning it to landscape with the 8-1/2 x 11 page on the left and the right side of the page is completely blank. PLEASE HELP!

Utility/Counter..user settings/scan settings/factory default..set to factory and OK. This will at least turn off anything they have accidently set. It sounds like they managed to add "combine" to the scan settings. Emujo

I tried that, but when I get to the scan settings, there is no factory default. It isn't highlighted either like the other settings are that you can edit. arghhh!

The actual option is called "Default Scan Setting" (or something close to that). It probably has "Current Setting" on it right now. If you want it back to the defaults, highlight that option and switch it to "Factory Default". Otherwise make all the necessary changes as if you're going to scan something, then go back to that setting. Click on it so that it gives you the "Current Setting" or "Factory Default" setting, make sure "Current Setting" is highlighted, and hit OK. This will lock in your current scan settings.

Clean the Doc feed sensors, It thinks you are scanning 11x17 size paper. Canned air to blow out the pre-scan sensor. CLue?? Does it scan off glass correctly?

IIRC that model has the little shark fins on the doc feeder. If one or both are stuck down it will always think you have 11x17 in there. Make sure both of them are popped up and can move freely.
