Konica Bizub 600 Jam at tray 2

Hi guys,

I have a problem with this model at tray 2 only. It happen when only doing Duplex printing, and paper always stop between the feed roller and pick up roller in tray 2 which always caused jam code 1704.

this means pre registration clutch (tray 2) has "on" and loop sensor at bypass not "on" within specific time.

I tried to swap the paper feed unit between tray 1 or tray 3, problem remains the same.

clutch, copper or gears at main body right side, I yet to check.

anyone come across this problem before? appreciate if you could share.

i believe there is a bulletin for this issue and it involves adjusting the loop timing for tray 2.

I'm operating off memory here, so don't shoot me

Take off bypass assy. There is a one way gear on there that drives the registration roller just before entrance into the main body. This will cause J17's. Also it's usually caked in toner too......

Hi There,

just managed to settle this issued after perform so many adjustment ; replace of clutches and drive boards.

Lastly, the reason is caused by tray 2 unit itself. Believe that, the cable to lift up the paper has loosen and somehow the plate will drop after few papers had been picked up.

currently trying to fix back tray 2 unit and hope it can be repair.
