    C8000 Developer unit problems?

In our 8000 there's toner covering the top of every drum, and I had a look at the dev units, and they've all got a massive build up of toner on top of them (their own colour has built up quite thickly on that plastic flap).
Is this indicative of a problem with the dev unit, or the toner delivery bits or something?
Any speedy help would be appreciated

A C8000 is a Konica Minolta production machine, not a stinkin' Canon!

I had one that had the same problem. It turned out to be from poor air flow from the waste collection system. My machine had old style tubes. I found my solution in the troubleshooting guide with modified tubes. Mine had black felt like around the intake of the tubes. The newer had a red felt like material around the tube intakes. If your's is newer, perhaps you've got a clog. The waste collection bottles were also modified some time ago.

Check for clogging on Filter Assy ( right side of main body ).
