What are the steps I should take to be able to use a c6500 Konica Minolta to send emails?

Depends on if you have a Fiery or Creo controller.
Creo cannot scan to email.
Fiery's scan to email can be set up from the configure of the controller. Access via command workstation or the web page of the fiery.
Remote scan is easy to set up, install Fiery Remote Scan, configure to the Fiery, retrieve a scan either directly off the glass or a scan to HDD.
