    Bizhub c550 image units

Just had the opportunity to purchase. 20 oce c4521 drum image units new oem in sealed boxes for next to nothing. Have you guys ever converted them to use in the c451 c550 series. I know I have to swap out the circuit board in the front of the iu to do this but I suspect the connector on the iu might have a different wiring scheme also which would complicate matters. Any suggestions welcome.

Connectors are the same, just have to rewrite the chips and you're good.

Thanks for replying. Got those iu's for $50 ea.....what a steal! I will put the chips in them and hopefully you are correct. Someone said they reverse 2 wires on the iu connector.

Not to my knowledge, we have been taking OCE stock and converting to KM by just re-flashing the chip.
