    mod diagram incorrect

Please correct me if I'm wrong but the red arrows on the DF611 Mod.pdf are pointing to nowhere where you can put a screw. The arrows should be pointing to part # 11 9J07 3204 01 LEVER ( white in color ) on Page 3 of the DF-611 Parts List. More specifically to the 2 holes that are on the left side of this part. This is where the 2 screws can be inserted to cause the part #28 Lifting Plate to lift higher. The newer DF-611's are coming with a modified Lifting Plate that is all black and there are no holes. After inserting the 2 screws and reducing the separator roller pressure ( part # 1 ROLLER on page 6 ) by moving the spring ( part #4 Torsion Spring Page 6 ) to its lowest notch, the 2 clients that had jam 6602/6603 problems stopped calling for jams.
But there is another area of concern.
Sometimes a single sheet or the last sheet of a pile of originals will fail to move at all and a Jam 6602 will occur. The only pressure that is being applied to the primary pickup rollers ( part # 28 Page 4 ) is from 2 small springs ( part # 16 Page 4 ). These springs are to weak and can be hooked further into the spring coils ( 2 windings is sufficient ) to increase pressure or another spring added for a total of 4 springs. Hopefully they will eventually issue stronger springs.

Thanks for the tip. I have not seen the last sheet jam issue, but I will keep an eye and ear out for that. I also didnt now that there was a modified lift plate. Does this mod correct the height issue, or are screws still needed? Please advise.

        the new black lifting plate

the new black lifting plate does not have any screw holes and does not require any screws as it is the modified plate. It's height is 8 mm. I still have to measure the original white plate that requires screws. There might be other differences between these 2 parts.

            shims mod didn't work

One of the DF-611's I was having a jam 6602/6603 problem had the shims installed and a white LEVER so I can only conclude they don't work.
But after put the 2 screws and lowering the sep roller pressure spring to the lowest position the problem was solved.

I agree had same issue did the same thing and problem was resolved. Prior to this the customer wanted to throw the machine and tech out the window.

I guess this is still an ongoing issue...I have had two very recent installs of DF-611 's and they are both having the same 6603 codes, and they have the mods done on them from the factory, I lowered the spring pressure(lowest notch) on one and tested for quite a while and it didnt jam....but I am sure this will be back lol! Do any of you guys have any solutions of your own that have helped??

And i thought it was only me having these problems with DF611's
I have also found that replacing the DF611 feed roller ( same roller as the paper feed on the C250's ) with the C550 paper feed tyre ( the pink ones ) also helps.
The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

Do you have a part number for it,so I can check if its the same here in North America?

                      Thanks Steve
