[Misc] FS-521 on C6501 states main try is full at 1500 sheets of 89gsm paper.

Can not find any specific fix for this issue.

Seems like its the fiery that states it tray full before the engine does, but i cant find anything that has a fix for this.


Any one seen this...


let me know driving be crazy... should hold 2000 plus sheets, based on service and weight.

The tray position sensor (Top) detects the incorrect position of the paper ejection paddle of Main tray. A firmware update is required.As a temporary countermeasure, open the front door of the finisher. The paddle is then rotated by initializing the FS-521 and the incorrect message is no longer indicated.
To prevent the message from reoccurring, please install updated Base firmware version A0GY0Y0-00N1-G00-40.

Faulty or malfunctioning paper exit level sensor (LED1).
Check the sensor in the I/O mode and replace defective sensor (p/n 13QJ 8551 0) if necessary. Please refer to Parts Manual pages, Item 38 on page 15

Have you checked the position of DIP Switch 3-7?

If it is set to zero the FS-521 tray capacity is 1500 sheets.

Set to 1 capacity is 3000
