    Fiery IC-401

    Hi,
I recently purchased a bizhub c350. Can I use this as a network printer without the need for a fiery IC-401 print controller. i.e does the bizhub c350 have an internal controller?
It is only required for general office printing.
I have another c350 with an IC-401 controller however this seems to be dead. (not booting up/no power).
If I was to get this working could it be simply put onto the new machine?

    Thanks

Not sure of the older Fierys, but on C353 and newer, you must let the MFP know the Fiery is installed through service mode...So on the one C350 you have a controller that doesn't work, on one you have a Fiery you can take off. I would think that as long as you set the Image controller settings correctly, you can remove the Fiery (there is a standard controller built in) and swap it with the non working Fiery. Again I assume the one with the non working Fiery is up and running using the embedded controller, so you will have to make a image controller setting change here also. Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

      Thanks Emujo,
On one c350 (older worn out machine) I have a fiery thats not working.
And on my newer c350 I dont have any external controller i.e fiery IC-401.
How can I tell if the newer c350 has an embedded controller?

What drivers would I need to run onboard controller for osx & win xp?

Without Firey check in Tech.Rep -> System Imput->Peripheral Setting ->Without Controller. With Firey set Controller 3
