We have a couple of machines with DF-621 ADF jam #s that are all over the place 66-02,03,05,06,12 And a lot of 66-23s are common to both. The reflective sensors have been kept clean and the felt on the one has been darkened by black sharpie..... and the still show and report jams occurring. We have tested in copy and the higher speed scanning mode and CAN NOT DUPLICATE, but they must be occurring. I was hoping these newer ones would be more reliable then in past.... not these two. |

Re: DF-621 ADF Jams on 3 series machines
I've had issues with a DF-621 who scans a lot. There is a bulletin for replacing the front and rear lever assy with stronger springs in them. The spring clutch has been updated as well. Also someone suggested putting a mylar under the rubber pad there at the sep roller to firm it up. I added one to this machine and test ran it and didn't have any more issues with double feeds and such so that's some things to look into."In a cruel and evil world, being cynical can allow you to get some entertainment out of it."

Are you putting the sep roller pressure spring into the minimum pressure position ? along with changing rollers and sep pad this usually fixes this problem once and for all in my experience.Comment

TAUS1200978EN mentions the sensor lever, front and rear assemblies, and also adding two washer to a shaft for spacing."In a cruel and evil world, being cynical can allow you to get some entertainment out of it."

^^^
1st RE: There is a single spring under the sep area, I see no adjustment for tension. These feeders are at 50-75 k feeds rated at like 200k.
2ndRE: We changed the actuators the one we worked with, and added the washers as well.
Thanks for info guys.Comment
