DI1610fp usb problems

Hi guys

I have got 2 Di1610fp machines that give me a lot of usb problems.

The machine is plugged in to the usb port and the PC finds and installs the print driver but when it finds the twain device it says unknown device or device has malfunctioned so i disconnected the PCL board and connected the internal GDI board we then got it to load the drivers for both printing and scanning and we tested the scanning it scanned 4 pages then just stopped so we switched off and on the machine and then it to said unknown device and would not load the drivers. I have tried all the drivers the Minolta driver and the Konica Minolta driver and no luck. I have changed the PWB-A and the PCL board to no luck I have even swapped the ribbon cable and the small USB board and still no luck.

PS I hate these machine with a passion.

Any help would be appreciated

Did you try to use another usb cable? Also, try on other computer, just to be sure where is the fault: the PC, the machine or the connection between.
