Your customer should have bought a B&W machine then.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

Owl, that wasn't very nice....On most color MFPs you can use authentication to restrict color usage, adding the public user allows you to permit unrestricted B&W printing/copies without the need for entering a code (other than selecting Public User on the control panel, and configuring the driver properly). I would suggest you open the admin guide for the C25 and do a search for account track/ user authentication for the details. As to the " they should have bought a B&W MFP" comment, I would guess around 80% of my new MFPs going out are color as the price difference between color/B&W is slim today. Techs need to have a good grasp on teaching the customer to manage color, or you will be back out trying to explain why they have a $2,000 overage for color in this months bill and "no body prints color" is being screamed at you.
