C25 scanner problem

Turn unit on, scanner goes to the right about 4 inches, then goes to the left about 1/2" at a time... 1/2" then stop, 1/2" then stop... gets to the left and still tries to drive to the left. Don't see any sensors. Stepping motor? The rest of the machine comes to ready. Don't know Konica Minolta at all, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Jeff M.

replace the bar scanner - it finds home position by finding the white reference and its failed and cant see it. It wont be illuminating properly either.

Ridiculously common, i carry them in the car.
