KonicaMinolta 2530DL, brandnew, ever seen this???? Brandnew machine, I just opened the box. See how the transferfilm looks like: The box is absolutely not opened before or tampered with, originally factory packed and sealed. Everything of the machine is brandnew but the transfer belt is used, scratched and you can even see that somebody tried to clean it by rubbing across. The pictures are rather bad but only by dim lighting I could catch the scratches. Hans

Done, and got a replacement the next day. Frankly that was not worrying me, there are enough methods to put a supplier under pressure for such things. However, what really worries me is the fact that this is possible at all. An absolutely new (except the transfer film ofcourse), originally packed machine, in a definitely non-tampered box, with a used part in it. How are those production lines looking in the "Cha-Ching" factories directly behind the Great Wall? Are they assembling those printers at home perhaps? Hans

In all fairness, most manufacturers do a test run on the machines at factory before shipping. Usually if you look at the copy counter for a new machine it will have a few copies already.

It could well be that was a test ITB unit and they simply forgot to swap it out with a new one before shipping.
No, I will not send you Manuals, Software or your own little repair Genie to fix all your problems for you.
